Joyce and Cuesta

In the Research Room which was fast evolving into a sewing room.
See Georgann's quilt over their heads.

Sue A. found this sweet post about Cuesta and Joyce.

What a great friendship they had.

There is a conference on Cuesta, her papers and collecting in East Lansing, Michigan on October 8-10.
Michigan State University Museum will host "Unpacking Collections: The Legacy of Cuesta Benberry and a Symposium on Using Quilt History Collections" to explore the connections between using collections in making or studying quilts. Click here: http://museum.msu.edu/Events/cbsymposium/

Merikay is one of the speakers.

At Merikay's. Joyce is on the left, then clockwise:
Linda, Eva Earl, Merikay, Bets and Cuesta in the dots.
